* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Doniphan County in northeastern Kansas...
Southern Andrew County in northwestern Missouri...
North Central Buchanan County in northwestern Missouri...
Central DeKalb County in northwestern Missouri...
Southeastern Holt County in northwestern Missouri...

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 1033 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 2
hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
St. Joseph, Savannah, Wathena, Maysville, Highland, Troy, Country
Club Villa, Country Club, Amazonia, Denton, Cosby, Severance,
Leona, Helena, Fanning, Bendena and Fairport.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
